Simon's talk, 'Association + Attunement', will explore the impact of climate and culture on how we design, build, dwell in, and react to our built environment. Buildings shape the city, its thoroughfares, precincts, passages, courts, and gardens, particularly through the porosity and permeability of the facade's surface. With each design, we ask how spatial morphology and facade configurations can engender the association of people and individual attunement to culture and climate.
